As I write this, HalfTone is free – and will be for the US Labor Day celebration.

Half Tone allow you to create comic-esque images from your albums or newly snapped photos. It’s available on iPhone, iPad, and the iPod Touch.

You get a number of options, including font, text size, comic “stamps”, speech bubbles/boxes, and get a good choice of paper styles!

There are a number of options that can be set, including if the original image gets altered or not – I turned this off, as I wanted to keep them in their original form.

You can change the dithering on the images, effectively making the half-tone dots MASSIVE, or barely noticeable.

There’s a decent collection of Stamps to use right off the bat; I wouldn’t be surprised if they started selling stamp “packs” via in-app purchases, either.

Stamps can be moved about, resized, and layered, as demonstrated:

So, check it out – you can share your final product via E-Mail, Facebook and Twitter straight from the App, too – I find this handy.
